Valentine’s Day 2016 falls on a Sunday, perfect for spending a relaxing, memorable day with your loved one in the New Forest. Slow down the pace and enjoy each other’s company with a crisp walk through breathtaking scenery or a pub lunch. For the evening, why not book into one of Ringwood’s excellent restaurants, before ambling back to Moortown Lodge for a romantic stay in a Superior Double or Four Poster room.

There will be a bottle of Australian wine to greet you, courtesy of Moortown’s new Australian owners. Luxury chocolates too! The magic won’t end there as we’ll be offering a special Valentine’s breakfast on Monday morning, setting the tone for a romantic stay right up until the moment you leave.

Wonderful walks

A shared walk offers a great way to reconnect, and the New Forest is full of idyllic places to go. Whether you prefer walking trails through woodland or visiting quaint villages, all are within easy reach of Moortown Lodge.

Burley, Fordingbridge and Barton-on-sea are all relatively nearby, each with their own unique attributes. For coastal walks visit Barton-on-sea or venture further afield to Lymington, a coastal town famous for sailors and smugglers.

If you’d prefer to visit a picturesque village in the heart of the Forest, Burley lies just a short distance away from Ringwood. Fordingbridge is also relatively close by and the Avon Valley Path, a 34 mile footpath, passes through the town, providing the perfect countryside walk.
